Caroline Palla is a visual artist and screenwriter from Zurich, Switzerland. She graduated from Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in 2008 with Going Inside, an extensive photographic series showing the innards of people‘s medicine chests. With the following works 127 – Imagine a golden piggy bank with no one to spare a dime and The Yen-Yen: Thirtysix Drum Sets, she fashioned her object-centered photography. More recently, her practice expanded into screenwriting. In 2014, Palla was invited to Bahrain in the Persian Gulf, where she met filmmaker Hend Fakhroo. The two of them are currently developing Palla's treatment Parijat/Night-Flowering Jasmine into a feature-length screenplay for the Doha Film Institute in Qatar.
