Hamdy Reda is a visual artist and curator, living and working in Cairo. Alongside his artistic career he is the founder, Managing Director and Curator of artellewa art space, a residency in Giza-Egypt for domestic and international artists. artellewa is a haven for the formation and activation of dialogue between artists and communities. His own practice involves painting, experimental photography and installations. He is well recognized in the North African and Middle Eastern regions for his collaborative projects with artists from the Egyptian and the international scenes. The recipient of various artistic awards, he seeks to further the creative dialogue within the public sphere while simultaneously informing his personal practice.
