We are living in a technologically informed world. Our life takes place in hybrid space merging the physical and virtual. As we continue to develop and use technologies which now also include the manipulation of the living we are challenged to rethink our concepts and relations to the environment we inhabit.

Erich Berger and Yashas Shetty will give two lectures about their current work. Wawies Wisnu Wisdianto from Lifepatch (Indonesia) will also be present and briefly introduce their activities in Yogyakarta, as they have already been discussed at the last edition of HSC#1. Lifepatch has just received the Honorary Mention from Prix Ars Electronica,
